Baker Senior Center Naples (BSCN) is a nonprofit organization providing comprehensive services to older adults. BSCN’s three pillars of service include the senior center, Cognitive Health Services, including dementia respite and caregiver support and education, and Clinical Services, including mental health counseling and case management. Together, the three pillars of service offer older adults opportunities to thrive and look forward to enjoying their lives to the greatest capacity. BSCN is one of 111 Senior Centers accredited by the National Council on Aging. It is the only senior center in the United States offering comprehensive services in one place - a new 30,000 square foot award winning building on 11.7 acres in Naples, Florida.

Position 1
Cognitive Health Social Worker
As a key member of the Cognitive Health team, this role is responsible for designing and implementing high-quality educational and cognitively stimulating materials for individuals participating in all Cognitive Health programs. Additionally, this position provides supportive services to families of active clients as well as serves as a vital resource for Senior Center and Mental Health departments. Reports to the Chief Cognitive Health Officer.
Responsibilities
Facilitate structured Dementia Respite groups.
Facilitate structured Brain Joggers group.
Facilitate Caregiver Support groups.
Develop, implement and maintain materials and content for all group programs.
Screen prospective clients for admission to programs.
Conduct assessments of prospective clients for admission to programs.
Provide and maintain supportive and educational resources for caregivers.
Provide direct guidance and training to Volunteers when interacting with clients.
Provide direct guidance and training to CNAs when interacting with clients.
Maintain up-to-date client information.
Maintain client notes within the guidelines of best practices.
Use clinical skills to redirect or de-escalate clients.
Assist in facilitating educational seminars and/or trainings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications
MSW - required
Experience working in a clinical setting with older adults; 2 years – required
Ability to be creative and innovative.
Good organizational skills along with being self-motivated.
Must be a team player able to follow directions and adjust to ever-changing environments.
Computer literacy; Microsoft Word and Excel.
Possess excellent customer service skills.
Can lift at least 25 lbs.

Additionally, this position provides supportive services to families of active clients as well as serves as a vital resource for Senior Center and Mental Health departments. Provide music therapy to all structured programs.
Develop, implement and maintain materials and content for all group programs both musical and non-musical in nature.

Provide and maintain supportive and educational resources for caregivers.
Provide direct guidance and training to Volunteers when interacting with clients.
Provide direct guidance and training to CNAs when interacting with clients.
